I have some exciting news!

I am honored to have been invited to this important conference as an advocate representing the choice of flat closure after breast cancer and explant. Only a limited number of advocates are invited nationwide. As a representative for First Light, A Healing Way and for many patients that are presented with these choices, I am looking forward to sitting alongside other strong women that have chosen to reconstruct with Aesthetic Flat Closure. Also known as AFC. Many of them are fierce advocates, and survivors. As I said before, this is an absolute honor and I am beyond proud to stand up for this safer option and the freedom of an educated choice on behalf of all patients that are on this journey.

We will be at an exhibitors booth providing information about aesthetic flat closure. Doctors, surgeons, and other proffesionals in the breast, and cancer community will be attending. We will be wearing shirts that say ”Perfectly Flat.” This is to help bring awareness and change the narrative when it comes to chest/breast reconstruction.

Flat closure options do not need to be “fixed” due to society’s idealistic attitude towards women’s breasts. Patients that chose this option usually experience less surgeries, and obviously less risk than other reconstruction options that are offered. Many women that chose to ”go flat” speak of the free feeling that they experience after their healing. I am personally one of these women. I’m proud to be an 8 year breast cancer survivor, and a face that others can relate to when they have questions or fears concerning reconstruction options, and the possible side effects.

I would be forever grateful to anyone that would like to help make this trip possible. I thank you in advance for any donation that you can make to help me take this rare opportunity! This will help pay for travel expenses, cab fares, and meals.

Advocates are gathering from all across the country to meet in Paris, Las Vegas, Las Vegas, Nevada for the 31st Annual Interdisciplinary Breast Center Conference. Please help my voice be heard on behalf of all women!
